The British magazine Project Finance International (PFI), the main source of global intelligence on project finance, has given the “Acquisition of the Year in the Americas” Award to the transaction in which the law firm SIGMA advised EnfraGen for the acquisition of assets of Celsia renewable energy in Panama and Costa Rica.
SIGMA lawyers, specialists in complex transactions, advised on the three fundamental parts of the Panama operation transaction: the purchase and sale between the two companies; the financing of the purchase, which includes the refinancing of an EnfraGen loan originally negotiated in 2020; and the repayment of the existing debt of the acquired entities.
